Several years after Satchmo's death, the reissue onslaught was continuing in the form of big, heavy double-vinyl packages known as "two-fers." MCA stuck its fingers into the Decca archive it purchased in order to paste together the two volumes of At the Crescendo, previously released in the mid-'50s, and never an example of live recording at the height of the art form.
