Forced Love - Sebadoh - Bubble & Scrape (Vinyl, LP, Album)

 · Bubble and Scrape Sebadoh Alternative · Bubble and Scrape is their final album with founding member (and musical wildcard) Eric Gaffney, whose explosive improvisations were the perfect counterpoint to Lou Barlow's perpetually pouting lyricism. Forced Love.

Too scared and selfish to watch my security fall. Pitbull, heartbreaker, forced love dictator. The boy that crippled all her dreams. Sweet, yet heartless; mindful, yet thoughtless. Left a kiss to find a conflict of interest. And I would never dare to break her heart. Too scared and selfish to watch my security fall. Take me back, I'm not proud.

 · My favorite Sebadoh experience. Lines are being drawn in the sand, though, so it's kinda weird going. Noise doesn't permeate. It just pops up every time Eric comes around. The rest of the album is a pleasant exchange of bubbly heartbreak pop songs between Lou and Jason. They're good, sure, but this would be an awfully Carpenters-esque lil.

  1.  · View credits, reviews, tracks and shop for the Vinyl release of "Bubble & Scrape" on Discogs/5(21).

  2. Bubble and Scrape is a great Sebadoh album and the extra tracks here add to its value. The style of the bonus tracks is a bit different, like Sebadoh 3 but completely electric. Many are essential for anyone who likes Sebadoh, with a fascinating set of instrumental collages in Parts (the Jason Loewenstein contribution part 4 is especially /5(26).
